British Airways (BA) is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, headquartered in London, England, near its main hub at Heathrow Airport. It is the second-largest airline in the United Kingdom, based on fleet size and passengers carried, behind easyJet. In January 2011 BA merged with Iberia, creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), a holding company registered in Madrid, Spain. HeadquartersThe Waterside building in Harmondsworth, Greater London, is the international head office of British Airways;[1] it also houses the operational head office of BA's parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG).[2] The building and landscaping, which cost £200 million,[3] is on Harmondsworth Moor, northwest of Heathrow Airport, between the M4 and the M25 motorways in the linear Colne Valley regional park.[4] Waterside is on the western edge of Greater London, near West Drayton and Uxbridge, in the Borough of Hillingdon[5][6]
